Using Actor-Network Theory to identify the role of IT in cognitive science in Iran

In this paper we investigate about the role of Information Technology (IT) in improving research in Cognitive Science (CS) in Iran. We use Actor-Network Theory to model the role of IT organizations and IT researchers in CS. By analyzing the constructed network of actors we realize that lack of convergence between IT and CS is the main reason that CS is less applicable and less developed. In addition, we learn from this study that IT has extra influences on CS. So, convergence of the viewpoints of their actors is essential in order to gain further success at CS.
