摘要
This research article presents a nature inspired meta heuristic approach to deal with optimal power flow (OPF) problem solution. The modified artificial killer whale optimization (MAKWO) algorithm is employed for optimal setting of controlling quantities of OPF. This optimization technique is inspired from hunting procedure of killer whales. The presented method has been employed on IEEE 9-bus, IEEE 14-bus and IEE 30-bus system. Simulation is carried out on MATLAB R2016a platform. The results have been juxtaposed with particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique and an old conventional technique, which recommends that the presented technique is superior and computationally efficient than other used techniques.
