A new synthesized practical training curriculum has been designed in the paper, in which all the learning activities of students are placed in real engineering situations. The curriculum framework, organizational forms. teaching management, and the exam of teaching are all discussed in the paper. A teaching experiment involved 133 students, who are all hydraulic engineering special field, has been carried out with groups of 3 or 4 students formed. The teaching effect has proved that the model is successful, and students' abilities of integrating knowledge and flexible application are both apparently enhanced. A questionnaire has also been done, with several concerns has been surveyed and summarized.
