摘要
Optical wireless communication systems have potential to provide large-bandwidth communications. A highspeed communication system can be constructed with simple implementations at low-cost; this is one of the effective means to solve the last one mile problem. In outdoor optical wireless communication systems, the propagation characteristic heavily changes according to meteorological conditions etc.. In this paper, we propose a channel model of optical wireless propagation during rainfall. A probability density function (p.d.f.) of the received signal power is theoretically derived based on the proposed channel model and its validity is confirmed with experimental results.
