摘要
Recent researchers on writers in exile before 1989 have revealed that their work is doubled by an identity discourse. This fact is due to the special mark that exile has left onto the individual, both man and writer. The current research exploits the process of identity reconfiguration in the work of Gabriela Melinescu. Our study offers an analysis of the positioning of the self between literature and visual arts, based on Jurnal suedez and interviews offered by the writer. The double language (verbal and visual) used in the fiction works requires an active involvement of the reader.
