摘要
In most of the future developments it is envisioned that individual system component be self aware and intelligent. It is required that it should be able to communicate with central system on bus and can also be controlled from remote. Most modern AC/DC converters are not only operated at higher frequencies to reduce size but integrate soft switching techniques to increase efficiency. Due to IEC and CISPR regulations these converters are often multistage and integrate PFC (Power Factor Correction) at mains end. Hence all digital system is a challenge on the one hand but offers benefits in the form of easy control bus integration. All the PFC stage control algorithms (Average current mode control, sliding mode control etc.) require extensive processing power and integration of resonant converter at DC/DC stage further complicates the problem due to the fact that average models fails to predict the load dynamics and accommodation of higher order harmonics in design is vital for closed-loop stability [1].
