摘要：
The authors described the pharmacological properties of aliskiren - the first renin inhibitor. The pharmacokinetis of aliskiren after oral administration in humans, its interaction with other hypotensive drugs and therapeutic significance are also described. The present data indicate that aliskiren can be useful as an alternative tool in the treatment of hypertension in patients who do not tolerate converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotension AT(1) receptor blockers.
