摘要
Self-assembled nanorods, with strong quantum confinement, have become an attractive topic of research for understanding their fundamental of physics and promising technological applications. Herein, self-assembled alpha-Ag2S nanorods were synthesized via squalene assisted microwave technique for the first time. The morphology, crystal structure and sizes distribution of the prepared alpha-Ag2S nanorods were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), electron diffraction (SAED), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The optical properties of the as-prepared self-assembled alpha-Ag2S nanorods were studied by employing UV-vis absorption and luminescence spectroscopes. The results showed a strong confinement regime for the as-grown silver sulfides. (C) 2013 Published by Elsevier B.V.
