摘要
A series of 1-(arylthio)naphthalen-2-ols have been synthesized by condensation of naphthalen-2-ol with 1,2-diaryldisulfanes in the presence of iodine under microwave irradiation and conventional heating methods. Structures of the products were elucidated from the spectral data (IR, H-1, and C-13 NMR, mass spectra) and elemental analysis. All products were tested for in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities.
