摘要
This paper presents Off-Body channel characterization measurement results for Ultra-Wide-Band Communications in an underground gold mine. Frequency measurements from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz are described in terms of the channel parameters, impulse response and channel capacity. Results show that channel parameters degrade at non-line of-sight compared to line-of-sight configurations. The time dispersion, path loss and capacity results demonstrate that the UWB channel is better suited for the in-mine communications than the 2.4 GHz band at line of sight and non-line-of-sight scenarios.
