摘要
Ullmann coupling of 4,4 ''-dibromo-p-terphenyl (DBTP) on Ag(1 1 0) surface has been investigated by introducing guest copper atoms in two ways. Scanning tunneling microscopy observations unambiguously demonstrate that the Ullmann reaction on Ag(1 1 0) surface can be improved by introducing copper atoms in both ways, and the effect is more remarkable when copper atoms are introduced on a annealing surface covered by molecules.
