Evaluation of genotypes of oat to parasitism of Meloidogyne paranaensis and M. incognita raca 3

摘要
The nematode species Meloidogyne incognita and M. paranaensis cause damage to several crops such as coffee, soybeans, tomatoes, beans, cotton and others. The management of nematodes using oats can be interesting to reduce nematode population, since it is already used in crop rotation. Thus the objective was to evaluate selected oat genotypes resistant to M. paranaensis and M. incognita race 3. The cultivars black oat IAPAR 61, white oat IPR 126, and four lines SI 0501-30 M, SI 0501 -23 M, SI 0502-56 M and SI 0502-33 M were evaluated under greenhouse conditions. Plants were inoculated with 5740 eggs of M. incognita race 3 and 3000 eggs of M. paranaensis. The cultivar IAPAR 61 showed resistance to M. paranaensis and the lines SI 0501-30 M and SI 0501-23 M were resistant to M. incognita race 3. It was concluded that these materials can be used for reducing the population of these nematodes in areas where they cause economic damage.
