摘要
In this paper, critically analysis of the agricultural trade competitiveness and complementarity of 28 agriculture products between Kazakhstan and China was investigated. The agriculture trade flow period was considered from 2008 to 2018. The agricultural trade competitiveness and complementarity analysis were carried out by using four different trade models. Models were normalized revealed comparative advantage (NRCA), trade complementarity index (TCI), trade combining density (TCD), and trade specialization index (TSC). The results showed that (1) Kazakhstan and China have differences in comparative advantages in the international market, and at the same time, they are not considered "natural trading partners". In recent years (3), dependence on mutual trade between countries in agricultural products has been steadily growing. In addition, it should be noted that the structure of foreign trade is dominated by inter-industry trade based on comparative advantages, which means different trade orientations of countries and a huge potential for further cooperation.
