Thermal properties of filled skutterudite PrOs4P12

摘要
We report the specific heat and thermoelectric power S (T) of filled skutterudite PrOs4P12, which has a Gamma(1) crystalline electric field ground state. The electronic specific heat coefficient gamma of PrOs4P12 indicates a weak enhanced value (gamma(Pr)/gamma(La) similar to 2.3) in comparison with that of LaOs4P12. The influence in the specific heat by c-f hybridization effect is discussed. S (T) of PrOs4P12 exhibits a small maximum around 10 K although there is no such maximum for LnOs(4)P(12) (Ln = La, Nd, and Gd). Consequently, S/T for Ln = Pr increases below 20 K, which is consistent with the enhanced gamma. We also report the magnetization process to 46 Tin PrOs4P12.
