Full color display has been the developing and researching object of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). The high-performance red organic light-emitting diodes is also a hot spot. This paper introduces a new method to improve the performance of red fluorescent OLED. We select m-MTDATA as the hole injection layer with F4-TCNQ (P-type oxidizing agent) doped, and choose a mixture of rubrene and Alga doped with DCM2 as the light-emitting layer. A red OLED with a multilayer structure of ITO/m-MTDATA:F4-TCNQ (3 %, 1000 angstrom)/NPB (200 angstrom)/Alq(3) (120 angstrom)-Rubrene (180 angstrom):DCM2 (2 %)/Alq(3) (200 angstrom)/LiF (5 angstrom)/Al (1200 angstrom) was fabricated via orthogonal experimental method. When the driving voltage was 9 V, the brightness could reach 16600 cd/m(2), the maximum luminance efficiency was 9.29 cd/A, the luminous power efficiency could reach 9.72 lm/W, and the luminous spectrum was hardly affected by the changing voltage. It turns out that the performance of the red OLED device can be greatly improved when the light-emitting layer has a good match with the hole injection layer.
