摘要
The pseudoelasticity and the indentation behavior of Ti-51at%Ni alloy were investigated. Pseudoelasticity exists not only under tensile loading condition but also during indentation that involves compressive stress. The pseudoelastic behavior of TiNi alloy may be characterized by its large recovered deformation energy (Wrc), and the ratio of the recoverable deformation energy to the total deformation energy (η). The Wrc and η values of 304 steel are considerably lower than those of the as-received and heat-treated TiNi alloys. The heat-treated TiNi alloy with superior pseudoelasticity is harder than the as-received one with lesser pseudoelasticity.
