摘要
Blogs are increasingly popular Web 2.0 tools in educational settings, being successfully used both for individual and collaborative learning. This study explores the use of blogs as communication and collaboration tools in project-based learning settings. Fifty-three computer science students participated in the study and their learning activity is analyzed from three perspectives: (i) blog posting data recorded by a dedicated learner tracking platform; (ii) content analysis of blog contributions based on Community of Inquiry framework; and (iii) students' perceptions regarding their learning experience, as reported in opinion surveys. Overall findings confirm blogs' affordances for educational settings, and in particular for project-based learning scenarios, fostering collaborative knowledge construction, and boosting student satisfaction.
