摘要
On 26 November 2009, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Innovation announced the resolution concerning the call for the Campus of International Excellence (CEI). Of the more than fifty projects submitted, only nine qualified for the recognition of Campus of International Excellence. Among those awarded the title was the Agrifood project ceiA3 (Agro Alimentacion Andalucia); a regional-scale grouping of five universities in Andalusia led by the University of Cordoba. The Agrifood Campus of International Excellence (ceiA3) is a joint initiative between the universities of Almeria (UAL), Cadiz (UCA), Huelva (UHU), Jaen (UJA) and Cordoba (UCO). Headed by the UCO, the objectives of the ceiA3 are ambitious and require a firm social commitment given that the agrifood sector of Andalusia provides a promising future for our students and many other young people. The purpose of the teaching innovation projects is to encourage innovation ceiA3 teaching as a process of transformation of traditional teaching, which involves improving the quality of teaching and learning processes and academic outcomes of students in finding synergies between the five universities to promote the creation of innovative clusters, which contribute to improving university teaching, and support the creation of Innovation Networks Teaching among the five universities. Within this framework the project Bilingualism in Engineering: activities and specific methodologies for improvement is subsidized. This project consists of a network of 4 universities in Southern Spain (Andalucia): Almeria (coordinator), Huelva, Jaen and Cordoba, all of ceiA3. The aim of this collaborative project between universities is to make a guide to develop specific activities in a second language for use in engineering degrees especially agriculture and forestry. More specifically, in order to help teachers plan these activities within their area and improve the learning environment of students in the skill of knowing a second language, thereby encouraging the internationalization of both, the output of our students abroad as for the reception of foreign students in our universities.
