摘要
The calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphy of the interval between the Pabdeh and the Jahrum formations (Eocene) in the Hendijan oilfield, southwest of Zagros, Iran, is discussed. This stratigraphic interval comprises marlstone, shale, and argillaceous limestone. Here a number of calcareous nannofossil assemblages, comprising 58 species belonging to 22 genera, are reported. The calcareous nannofossil analysis resulted in the identification of numerous nannofossil biozones in the transitional interval, dating it as early Eocene (Ypresian) to late Eocene (Priabonian).
