摘要
Stability of the power system is the ability of the system to return to normal operation after the system is subject to a disturbance. When a disturbance occurs, the power system must be able to maintain stable conditions. In this paper, analysis of critical machine identification is needed as an alternative to determine the transient stability of power system. The behavior of critical machines determines the stability of power system. For 9 buses and 3 machines, the critical machine of the system will vary depending on the location of the disturbance. Critical machine identification can be determined from the calculation of clearing time. If the fault is cleared before clearing time, the system remains stable so critical machine can be minimized.
