Structure, thermopower and electrical transport properties of La2/3TiO3-δ

摘要
The structural, thermopower and electrical transport properties of members belonging to the perovskite family, La2/3TiO3-δ, have been investigated as a function of oxygen-deficient concentration (δ). It was found that the crystal structure of these materials strongly depended on the oxygen-deficient concentration, the structure changed from orthorhombic double perovskite at δ = 0.057, tetragonal double perovskite at δ = 0.071 and pseudo-cubic perovskite at δ = 0.161. Negative thermopower was observed and was found to obey an equation of S = A+BT. The temperature dependence of S strongly indicated that the charge carrier responsible for electrical conduction in La2/3TiO3-δ is small polaron of electron.
