摘要：
this paper focuses on the development of a protection scheme for a smart distribution system containing DERs (Distributed Energy Resources) and Solid State Transformers (SSTs). First, the paper describes the fault analysis that needs to be conducted on such systems. Then, a communication assisted protection scheme is proposed, in order to overcome the shortcomings observed in the conventional protection schemes.
