Effects of atomic-scale roughness at the surface of d(x(2)-y(2))-wave superconductor

摘要
The quasiparticle properties of d(x2-y2)-wave superconductor near the rough surfaces is calculated using extended Hubbard model. Here, we calculate the local density of states (LDOS) near the surface with atomic-scale roughness, and investigate the correlation between the appearance of the zero energy states (ZES) and the surface roughness. In order to obtain the energy spectrum of quasiparticles, or LDOS, a numerical method is developed which is suitable to treat the disorder in the atomic-scale order length.
