The problems of asymmetric interaction of a blunt wedge traveling at supersonic velocity with a cylindrical blast wave from a point explosion and with a plane shock wave are investigated by numerical simulation. The evolution of the interaction flow is analyzed, and data are obtained on how the structure of the shock layer changes. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-7842(99)00305-0].
