摘要
The increasing penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) will bring great challenges to the secure and economic operation of distribution networks. On the other hand, coordinated charging of EVs can alleviate the adverse impacts of charging loads and even increase the efficiency of distribution network operation. This paper aims at optimally scheduling the daily charging of EVs and the daily on/off switching of shunt capacitors to minimize the total active power losses. We formulate a mixed integer second-order cone programming (MI-SOCP) model for this scheduling problem considering the distribution network security constraints. Case study results show that coordinated charging of EVs with reactive power optimization can effectively reduce the active power losses and improve the nodal voltage profiles.
