A recipe for stability of finite-difference wave-equation computations

摘要
An account is given of a convenient recipe for insuring stability in finite-difference solutions to the wave equation. Along with a criterion for avoiding grid dispersion, this stability recipe allows to choose proper space and time sampling for the finite-difference computations used in seismic modeling and imaging.
