摘要：

Edge detection is a hard problem and has an important role in image processing, computer vision. This paper proposes a multiscale method for edge detection based on increasing Gaussian smoothing and particle filter. The method use Gaussian smoothing to obtain some difficult scales smoothed image, and then use particle filter to track edge. Experiments on natural images are compared with the Canny edge detection algorithm.
