摘要
The Portuguese Bend Landslide located on the Pales Verdes Peninsula was activated in 1956 and continues to move to this date. It has contributed a substantial amount of sediment into the littoral zone, damaging offshore rocky reef habitat through increased turbidity and sedimentation. Construction of an attached breakwater that contains the landslide material, will prevent further damages and allow the environment to restore. The functional and structural design of three attached breakwater alternatives are discussed.
