摘要：

A method of establishing a dependence of the volume of horizontal and vertical tanks on filling level by means of an automatic production process control system is considered. With the use of the system, it is possible to calibrate a tank in the course of operation without the use of additional production operations. An example illustrating the use of the automatic control system at an enterprise that stores and distributes petroleum products is given.
