摘要
Hybrid gold nanoparticles modified with poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-block- poly(2-succinyloxyethyl methacrylate) (PNIPAM-b-PSEMA) brushes are synthesized using surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP). The "hairy" particles demonstrate reversible pH- and temperature- controlled changes in size and aggregation state in solution. When adsorbed within a sub-monolayer at a solid surface, they support reversible changes in surface wettability in response to changes in solution pH, temperature, or illumination by laser light. © 2013 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
