摘要
The aim of this study is to ascertain the learning styles of university students using the whole brain model (Herrmann, 1989). Specifically, we analyze the extent to which students' degree course and academic performance determine their learning styles by making their learning more or less lateralised. Our results show that the way university students learn is closely related to their education specialty. We also found that the learning style preferences of students with the best individual and group performance are those whose two brain hemispheres interconnect in problem solving and decision-making processes. Our ultimate objective is to adapt our teaching methods to students' learning styles and at the same time develop other thought preferences related to their professional future and not only to their current education.
