Impurity effects in quasi-one-dimensional S=1/2 antiferromagnetic chain KCuF3 studied by muon spin rotation

摘要
The local magnetic susceptibility chi(loc) around a positive muon in quasi-one-dimensional spin 1/2 antiferromagnetic chain compounds dichlorobis KCuF3 has been investigated using muon spin rotation/relaxation (mu(+)SR). We compare chi(loc) with the bulk magnetic susceptibility chi measured in a SQUID magnetometer. In all cases there is a dramatic difference between chi(loc) and chi, as predicted by theory.
