摘要
The design and implementation methods of hardware and software systems of the orientation instrument are discussed in detail. The hardware system is composed of 89C51RD2 microprocessor, CPLD control circuit, LCD screen, keyboard, communication interface for GPS receiver, PC communication interface, wireless communication module, batteries and so on. The circuit design of main component in every part is presented. To the software system, two design methods are especially discussed. One is for receiving position data from GPS receiver, the other is for wireless communication between the handset and the monitor center. The handset was successfully used by the police, so the practical applications show that the design methods are very valid and practicable.
