摘要
The aim of user interface research is to provide an efficient way of communication between user and computer. With the rapid development of computer software and hardware and the emergence of Internet, the traditional CAD system user interface faces new challenges. On the basis of analysis of traditional CAD system user interface, this article presents the concept of multimodal user interface of CAD system and discusses the advantages of applying multimodal user interface to CAD systems. Some key research topics related multimodal user interface are proposed and examined. Finally, a CAD prototype system with multimodal user interface-FreeVoiceCAD is introduced, and its problems and future work are pointed out, with the hope that this article could contribute to the development of the User Interface of CAD systems to some extend.
