This article in honor of 60th anniversary of Prof. Dr. J. Carche shows some historical and general aspects of batteries and fuel cells. Our most innovative product PoLiFlex (TM) will be highlighted and compared with the direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), which is sometimes considered as a replacement for batteries.
