Multiband Microstrip patch Antenna using parallel slots for wireless applications

摘要
This paper presents a tri-band microstrip slot antenna for wireless applications. The microstrip antennas are commonly used because of their flexibility, robustness, small size and weight, narrow beam of radiation and ease of installation and fabrication etc. The proposed antenna is designed by using substrate FR-4 epoxy having permittivity 4.4 and tangent loss of 0.02. The antenna consists of a patch with 6 narrow slits and ground plane to generate three bands of frequencies 10.6GHz, 17.2GHz, 19.4GHz. The design is simulated using Ansoft HFSS software.
