摘要
Enhancing the hydrocarbon reservoir potential is a critical challenge that necessitates more detailed and inte -grated petrophysical techniques. Wire-line and core data were integrated to investigate the Messinian Abu Madi Formation in West El Manzala Field. Petrographic rock typing was carried out to classify Abu Madi Formation into different microfacies. The petrophysical parameters were detected using the well log data including the conventional well logging tools and the formation micro imager tool. Cross plotting technique was used to build coherent relationships between electric logs and core data and to estimate the specific reservoir parameters. Such integration were done; based on making processing and interpretation of core data, and segregate the studied productive reservoir into specific hydraulic flow units (HFUs) so we can getting a real reservoir characters distributed and tracking the best flow performance along all the gas field reservoirs. Classification of the res-ervoirs into different flow zones depending on their petrophysical criteria helps on prediction of reservoir per-formance. According to this rock typing analysis results the productive layers in Abu Madi Formation' upper and lower zones in West El Manzala Field can be segregated into three units: good, moderate and low according to quality of rock reservoir parameters and delineation of flow units within these layers.
