Resolution of naphthalene, 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol using the parallel factor algorithm and three-way flourescence technique

摘要
The spectra of mixed system of naphthalene, 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol were resolved by using the combination of three-way fluorescence technique and the parallel factor (PARAFAC) algorithm. The excitation wavelength was set from 220 to 300 nm with an interval of 2 nm and the emission wavelength varied from 325 to 600 nm with an interval of 5 nm. This method, which has a high convergence rate and is easy to be carried out on computers, can successfully solve the resolving problem caused by spectral overlapping.
