Tunable Spoof Localized Surface Plasmons on Metallic Spiral Structures

摘要
Tunable spoof localized surface plasmons on metallic spiral structures have been investigated. It has been shown that the resonant frequencies red shift when the length of the metallic arm is increased. By introducing a Schottky barrier diode (SBD) or a varactor diode across the two arms, the resonant frequencies of the electric spoof LSPs can be tuned over a wide range. The magnetic spoof LSPs can be effectively suppressed by loading a SBD diode. The simulated results have validated the switchability and tunability of spoof LSPs on the electrically tunable metallic spiral structures.
