Predissociation rates in the B2 Sigma(-) state of CH

摘要
Rotationally dependent predissociation rates have been determined for the levels N' = 15-17 in v' = 0 and N' = 7, 8 in v' = 1 of the B-2 Sigma(-) state of the CH radical, from measured quantum yields of laser-induced fluorescence in a low pressure methane/oxygen flame. The lifetimes decrease very quickly with rotational quantum number and show good agreement with previous theoretical calculations.
