Flicker-noise spectroscopy in the analysis of fluctuation dynamics of the electric potential in an electromembrane system at an above-limit current density

摘要
It was shown that multielectrode measurements of electric potential fluctuations in an electromembrane system provide information on the dynamics of hydrodynamical flows produced by local Joule heatings in the near-membrane region of the electrolyte. An upward-downward (along the gravitational vector) asymmetry of convective flows was revealed. It was found that upstreams are less correlated and more chaotic, which is seen from a wider scatter of characteristic rates of hydrodynamical pulsations. At the same time, for pulsation downstreams, which are "supported" by the gravity force, the correlation is larger in magnitude and longer in time.
