摘要
Interference due to the nearby communication system operating at the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) frequency range is a common issue, that is highly needed to be overcome. Thus, there is an increasing demand of efficient band notch designs. In our proposition, the band notch is realized by embedding two independent Ohm(O) structures operating at the notch frequency with U shaped antenna. The planar U-shaped antenna is etched on 24 mm x 36 mm substrate of ROGER4003TM. Here two antennas are presented in two sections. One is designed to be operating in 3.1-14.9 GHz without any notches and the second one is operating at the same band with a notch from 5.3 GHz to 5.7 GHz, which contains the WLAN band of 5.5 GHz. From the simulation, it can be shown that it achieves quite a wide bandwidth from 3.2 to 14.9 GHz with notching the WLAN band.
