摘要
In this work, we report the growth of regionally distributed TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNTAs) by one-step anodization of Ti foil together with an adjacent Ti strip. Under our anodization condition, the TNTAs in the specific region covered by the Ti strip grow earlier and quicker than that in the other regions. The tube density could be controlled over a wide range in the specific region while keeping no tube in the other regions. The mechanism of such region-specific growth of TNTAs is discussed. Our findings might be manipulated to fabricate various TNTAs defined patterns for many functional applications. (C) 2013 Published by Elsevier B.V.
