摘要
I describe the quantum creation of black holes in de Sitter space. A single topology change can lead to the formation of multiple black holes and the eventual disconnection of large spacelike sections. Applied to cosmology, this process leads to the production of a large or infinite number of universes in most models of inflation and yields a new picture of global structure.
