摘要
This research article focuses on Automatic Generation Control (AGC) with application of a multistage controller constructed by adding (1+Proportional Integral) with Proportional Derivative with Filter (PDF) in multi source type two area non-linear electrical network. To make system non-linearity and realistic a Generation Rate Constraint (GRC) of 3% is considered in each area. In this multi area power system each area comprises a Thermal unit, Hydro unit and a Gas power generation unit. For obtaining globally optimal solution a Salp Swarm Optimization (SSO) algorithm is applied to tune the gain parameters of above proposed multistage controller. For comparative analysis some controllers like PID and PI controllers are implemented individually apart from this proposed controller. Superiority analysis of above nature inspired SSO algorithm is carried out by comparing it with Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA), Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. While optimizing different parameters of system (if any) and above controller, Integral of Time multiplied Absolute Error (ITAE) has been implementing as objective function.
