摘要
This paper presents the improvement in quality factor at 10 Gb/s optical transmission system. We have used three receiver section concept for analyzing effect of self-phase modulation on quality factor. We have achieved the maximum quality factor 3.51 from reflected output. These results are analyzed the Q-factor by optimizing extinction ratio, optical dispersion, OSNR, Pulse mode dispersion coefficient, dark current and wavelength. This study may be helpful in reducing number of splices, connectors, and optical repeaters because of increasing span length as 120 km for a long distance transmission over thousands kilometer. The obtained results may eventually lead to the development in nonlinear all-optical devices for 120 km as well as 100 km length of fiber.
