摘要
As a sustainable development mode, ecotourism is a win-win solution to environment protection and regional economic development, which is also the highly-praised way of tourism consumption in the currently advocated low-carbon economy society. The advocacy of "Reduced low-carbon emissions bring us green life" opens a new door to ecotourism. However, no matter in the understanding of the concept or the method used; there is a gap between ecotourism of foreign countries and that of China. Problems such as the cognition bias of the concept of ecotourism, inconsistency in concept and practice, imperfection of the management mechanism, the lack of education on environment, laws and regulations and planning cannot be ignored. Based on the comparison of the development of ecotourism at home and abroad, this paper exemplifies some canonical countries who have succeeded in ecotourism development, and concludes successful experiences and methods for future study. Finally, the coordination between ecotourism with the economy is advocated as well as low-carbon economy.
