摘要
The bovine papillomatosis is a complex disease that represents great productive and economical impediment to the world livestock. The BPV-2 is an epitheliotropic DNA virus that, possibly, is associated to benign lesions on skin and malignant on bladder. This work aimed to identify the presence of BPV-2 in samples of bovine cutaneous warts, using the Polymerase Chain Reaction. Using the specific primers for BPV-2 it was obtained an assertiveness of 32 in 40 analyzed samples (80%). According to the above mentioned results, it can be concluded that the prevalence of BPV in the State of Pernambuco is in agreement with the world discoveries, standing out the importance of the genotypage in the control of the infection, and, consequently, adoption of an specific therapy.
