摘要
This paper presents a novel switchable AMC surface wave antenna which can support both on-body and off-body communications in the 2.45 GHz ISM band. In the on-body mode, the antenna has a monopole-like radiation pattern with a measured gain of 2.23 dBi at +/- 49 degrees and a null on the boresight. In the off-body mode, the antenna operates like a back-fed patch antenna. Both input impedance and radiation patterns are investigated based on numerical and experimental methods.
