摘要
Corrosion fatigue tests and electrochemical tests under proportional and non-proportional loading conditions were conducted on 304 stainless steel in 0.63 mol/L sodium chloride solution at the room temperature. Two biaxial loading paths were applied to study the effect of proportional and non-proportional loadings on polarization properties as well as the formation potential of pits. Surface observations of multiaxial corrosion fatigue specimens were carried out by SEM. It was shown that the proportional loading had a more significant effect on corrosion rate compared with non-proportional loading. The continuous rotation of principal stress plane when applied non-proportional loading inhibits the pit formation.
